An AI-assisted company knowledge system grounded in the product itself.
FounderOS connects to a software project, turns its code and project context into structured knowledge across the company, and keeps that knowledge usable for decisions, documentation and the AI tools used to build the product.

The code already contains part of the company knowledge — FounderOS turns it into something usable
As a product grows, the technical reality, product decisions, business context and AI instructions quickly drift into different documents and tools.
From repository to company context
FounderOS starts from the product itself. It connects repository evidence with structured company knowledge so strategy, product, engineering, design, market, operations and other business areas can be understood in one place rather than rebuilt from memory every time.
A project workspace in development, not just a document generator
The current product includes GitHub-connected project discovery, a canonical knowledge catalog, department workspaces, persistent conversations, research and unresolved questions, document history and exports for development and AI tooling.
Product scope
One workspace for understanding the product and the company around it
The system combines repository evidence, structured documents, company departments and conversations instead of treating each as a separate knowledge silo.
Project discovery
Connect GitHub, select the relevant repositories and turn the source into an explicit project scope before analysis begins.
Canonical knowledge catalog
A structured catalog covers strategy, product, engineering, design, market, business, operations and the other areas a company needs to maintain.
Department workspaces
Each company domain has its own workspace, documents, questions and specialist context while remaining part of the same project.
Research & company overview
See what is already documented, what still needs clarification and how knowledge is distributed across departments.
Living documents
Documents keep content, sources, versions and review state so they can evolve with the product instead of becoming static exports.
Persistent specialist conversations
Project and department conversations retain context so decisions and follow-up work can continue without starting from zero.
Change awareness
Repository state and document knowledge can be compared over time so stale areas and unresolved questions become visible.
Knowledge export
Structured project knowledge can be exported as Markdown and tool-ready bundles for development and AI workflows.
AI in the product
AI that turns product evidence into reusable company knowledge
AI is part of the knowledge workflow, not only a chat interface. The product connects analysis, specialist conversations, review and exports; it remains in development and testing.
Research grounded in sources
Connect repository evidence and existing project documents to structured analysis, with source references and explicit gaps instead of treating generated prose as established fact.
Project and department specialists
Persistent conversations can focus on the whole project or a specific company department, bringing its documents and unresolved questions into the working context.
Knowledge that can be reviewed and updated
Separate new findings, current document content and version history, so an AI suggestion does not silently replace reviewed knowledge.
Context that travels with the product
Export reviewed knowledge as Markdown and tool-oriented context, allowing developers and AI coding tools to work from a shared product understanding.
Users & working contexts
Who uses the knowledge — and where they work with it
FounderOS is built for someone responsible for the product and company context, with different working modes for the whole project, one focused domain and the tools used to keep building.
Founder / product owner
Uses the project-level view to understand the company as a whole, see knowledge gaps, continue the main conversation and decide where deeper work is needed.
Focused domain work
Moves into product, engineering, strategy, marketing, operations or another company area with its own documents, questions and specialist context.
Development & AI workflows
Reviewed company context can move back into the development and AI tools used to build the product, so the same knowledge does not need to be recreated in every session.
Core workflow
From code to knowledge that can keep working with the company
The product separates discovery, evidence, analysis and reviewed knowledge so each step can be revisited without losing the previous work.

Architecture
Source evidence, company knowledge and AI are separate layers
The system is designed so generated text never becomes the only source of truth: project sources, structured knowledge and AI-assisted work remain distinguishable.
The separation makes it possible to improve AI behavior without losing the distinction between what came from source evidence, what was supplied by the owner and what is still an interpretation.
Engineering decisions
The difficult part is keeping generated knowledge trustworthy and reusable
Selected decisions show how the system avoids becoming a collection of plausible-looking documents.
Evidence stays attached to generated knowledge
A document is not treated as trustworthy simply because an AI produced it.
FounderOS keeps source references and review state alongside generated or edited content so a reader can distinguish documented evidence, owner context and material that still needs validation.
One canonical catalog keeps the company model stable
Every project starts from the same company-wide information architecture rather than inventing a new set of documents each time.
The catalog spans fifteen business and engineering domains with stable identities and lifecycle stages, allowing different projects to be compared and updated through a common knowledge structure.
Conversations are scoped to the work being done
A project conversation, a department specialist and a document question should not silently share unrelated context.
Conversation state is tied to the relevant project and department so the assistant can remain useful over time without turning all project memory into one undifferentiated prompt.
New analysis does not silently overwrite reviewed knowledge
Repository changes can make knowledge stale, but an automated refresh should not erase decisions that were already reviewed.
The system separates source changes, pending findings and document versions so updates can be inspected before they become the new accepted project knowledge.
AI work is designed to recover instead of repeat
Long-running analysis should survive interrupted responses without blindly sending the same work again.
Analysis runs persist enough state to resume or reuse a completed result, reducing duplicate work and making AI-assisted workflows more predictable in production.
Knowledge is portable beyond FounderOS
The workspace should improve the tools used to build the product, not trap the information inside another dashboard.
Exports produce structured Markdown and tool-oriented bundles so reviewed company context can flow back into development environments and AI assistants.

Product principle
AI should work from company knowledge — not force the company to repeat itself
FounderOS is designed to make product and company context persistent, inspectable and reusable. The goal is not more generated documents; it is a shared body of knowledge that can support decisions and every tool used to build the company.
Code → knowledge → decisions
